At Iwashizu Shrine, you will first dress in a samue (traditional work clothing, with zori sandals and tabi socks, all of which you can take home). Then, you will participate in temple service, such as sweeping the shrine grounds and cleaning the floor of the hall. Afterward, you will join a formal prayer ceremony, including a sacred dance offering. Next, you will tour the shrine precincts with explanations, and finally enjoy a goshuin calligraphy experience, where your name or words will be written into your stamp book.
